By using Ask Addi, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Ask Addi is an AI-powered informational tool. It is designed to help users understand California's Self-Determination Program (SDP) and related disability topics. Its responses are generated by artificial intelligence and are based on publicly available program guidance, DDS directives, and general knowledge.
Ask Addi does not provide legal, medical, financial, or professional advice of any kind. Nothing in Ask Addi's responses should be construed as a professional opinion, a guarantee of eligibility, or a commitment by any Regional Center, DDS, or government agency. Always verify program-specific information with your Regional Center service coordinator or a qualified professional.
Your use of Ask Addi does not create an attorney-client relationship, a medical provider-patient relationship, a financial advisor-client relationship, or any other professional relationship. Addi is not a licensed attorney, physician, social worker, financial planner, or independent facilitator.
We work to keep Addi's knowledge base accurate and up to date. However:
Always confirm critical information — especially about eligibility, budgets, spending plans, and enrollment — with your Regional Center or a qualified Independent Facilitator.
By uploading a document, you confirm that you are authorized to share its contents and that you consent to the document being processed by Anthropic's AI to generate a response. Documents are not stored by Ask Addi. See our Privacy Policy for details.
You must not upload documents containing another person's sensitive personal information (medical records, financial documents, legal files, government benefit records) without that person's explicit permission. This includes documents belonging to SDP participants if you are not the participant yourself, unless you are their legal guardian or authorized representative.
Addi's analysis of uploaded documents is AI-generated and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Do not rely solely on Addi's interpretation of a document for legal, medical, or financial decisions. Consult a qualified professional for document review in high-stakes situations.
You agree not to use Ask Addi to:

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that responses will be complete or accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ask Addi and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on Ask Addi, including but not limited to:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Ask Addi shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Ask Addi name, logo, design, and underlying software are owned by Ask Addi. AI-generated responses are provided for your personal, non-commercial informational use. You may not republish, resell, or commercially exploit Addi's responses without written permission.
Ask Addi uses third-party services including Anthropic (AI processing), Supabase (database), and Vercel (hosting and analytics). Your use of Ask Addi is also subject to the applicable terms of these providers. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to Ask Addi at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Because no account is required, termination means your access to the service ends. Conversation history stored in your browser is unaffected.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Ask Addi shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of California.
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Ask Addi after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
